Myulchi Bokkeum (Stir-Fried Anchovies)


2.5 cup toasted anchovies

1 red pepper thinly sliced

1.5 tbs minced garlic

1 tbs soy sauce

1/2 cup sugar

2 tbs sesame seeds

Oil for sautéing


  1. On a clean pan, sauté the anchovies on medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Once done, set aside in a bowl.

  2. In the pan on medium heat, add oil, anchovies, minced garlic, garlic, and sugar. Stir until caramelized.

  3. Add soy sauce and stir fry for 5-7 minutes until the anchovies are a nice crunchy texture.

  4. Lightly toss in red pepper slices, then crumble sesame seeds.
