Korean Braised Potatoes 🥔 Gamja Jorim 감자조림
1 lb baby potatoes (the smaller the better)
2 tbs oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tbs sugar
1-2 tbs sesame oil
Toasted sesame seeds
In a large pot, place all the potatoes in with just enough water to cover them. Boil on high for 10 minutes.
Drain the water and transfer the potatoes to a large pan.
Add in oil and sauté for a few minutes, then add 1 1/2 cups of water, soy sauce, and sugar.
Bring to a boil then lower the heat and cover for 10 minutes.
Remove lid and let simmer for a minute or two to reduce liquid, then add sesame oil.
Plate potatoes and sprinkle on toasted sesame seeds. Let cool and enjoy!
